03 Accepting Almighty God, Christ of the last days, is keeping up with the footsteps of God, not a betrayal of the Lord Jesus

Now, only The Church of Almighty God is testifying that the Lord Jesus has returned as Almighty God, Christ of the last days, and that He is expressing the truth and performing the work of judgment and chastisement to cleanse and save man once and for all. Almighty God’s kingdom gospel has reached many countries across the world. The words of Almighty God, amounting to millions of words, have been translated into nearly 50 languages and are publicly available on the internet for all of humanity to seek and investigate. An ever-growing number of people are accepting and spreading the words He expresses. Yet there are some who wonder whether accepting Almighty God’s work of the last days is a betrayal of the Lord Jesus. In actual fact, people from all denominations who accept Almighty God’s work all hear the authority and power in the words Almighty God expresses, and know them to be the truth, the voice of God. They then become certain that Almighty God is the Lord Jesus returned, and one by one they come before Almighty God. This is not a betrayal of the Lord Jesus; instead, they are keeping up with God’s footsteps and have welcomed the Lord’s return.

04The nature and consequences of not keeping up with God’s footsteps

When the Lord Jesus came to perform His work, the Jewish scribes, chief priests and Pharisees stubbornly clung to the law, and so they believed that following the Lord Jesus meant betraying Jehovah, and so they blindly rejected and resisted the Lord Jesus. Ultimately, they had Him crucified, thereby aggravating God’s disposition, and God punished them. Some people are now committing the same mistake as the Pharisees: Faced with Almighty God’s work of the last days, not only do they not seek or investigate it, but instead they frantically resist and condemn it. They are no different from the Pharisees, hating the truth and betraying God, and in the end they must be punished by God and be swept up in the disasters with much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
