God’s Judgment Work in the Last Days

Exactly what work will the Lord Jesus do when He returns in the last days?
2
I’ve believed in the Lord for many years and I’ve read the Bible quite a bit, so why haven’t I seen the Lord prophesying that in the last days He will become flesh again and become the Son of man to perform the work of judgment? You bear witness that the Lord Jesus has already been incarnated again, that He is Almighty God, and that He’s doing the work of judgment in the last days. Is there any biblical basis for this? Is this affirmed by the religious world?
3
You testified that God becomes flesh again as the Son of man and does His work of judgment beginning at the house of God. This completely conforms with the Bible’s prophecy, and I can accept it. But I don’t understand whether this is the same as the great white throne judgment in the Book of Revelation. What we think is that the great white throne judgment is targeted at the non-believers that belong to the devil Satan. When the Lord comes, the believers will be taken up into heaven, and then He will send disaster to destroy the non-believers. That’s the judgment before the great white throne. You testify to the start of God’s judgment in the last days, but we haven’t seen God bring disaster to destroy the non-believers. Then how could it be the great white throne judgment? What is God’s judgment in the last days exactly? Please communicate this to us more clearly.
4
We’ve read Almighty God's words and have seen that there are some things that are very harsh. They are judgment of mankind, and condemnation and curse. I think that if God judges and curses people, won’t they be condemned and punished? How can it be said that this kind of judgment is to purify and save mankind?
5
You give testimony that the Lord has returned in the flesh to express the truth and do the work of judgment and purification of man in the last days, but the religious pastors and elders believe that He will return coming with clouds, and that all believers will instantly change form and be raptured up into the clouds to meet with the Lord. Just as Paul said: “For our conversation is in heaven; from where also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like to His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things to Himself” (Phl 3:20–21). The Lord is almighty and there is nothing He cannot do. God can transform us and make us purified with a single word, so why would He still need to become flesh to express the truth and carry out a stage of work of the judgment and purification of man?
6
You say that those who believe in God must accept God’s work of judgment in the last days, and only then can their corrupt disposition be purified and they themselves be saved by God. But, in accordance with the Lord’s requirements, we practice humility and patience, we love our enemies, bear our crosses, abandon worldly things, work and spread the gospel for the Lord, and so on. So aren’t all these our changes? We have always sought in this way, so can’t we also attain purification and be raptured into the kingdom of heaven?
7
We follow the example of Paul and work very hard for the Lord spreading the gospel, bearing witness to the Lord, and shepherding the Lord’s churches, just as Paul did: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2Ti 4:7). Is this not following the will of God? This kind of practice should mean that we are qualified to be raptured and enter into the kingdom of heaven, so why must we accept God’s work of judgment and purification in the last days before we can be brought into the kingdom of heaven?
8
During church meetings, the pastor and elder frequently say that the Lord Jesus saying on the cross “It is finished” proves that the work of saving mankind was finished, that simply by believing in the Lord Jesus and confessing our sins before Him, we are forgiven of sin, and the Lord would no longer see us as sinners. We are justified by faith alone, saved by grace. The Lord will receive us into the kingdom of heaven when He returns, and will not possibly return to do further work of saving mankind. I feel that this understanding by the pastor and elder is not acceptable. Yet, ultimately what was the Lord Jesus referring to, when He said on the cross, “It is finished”? Why does God need to come back in the last days to express truth, and do the work of judging and purifying man?
9
What is judgment?
10
The Bible says: “For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation” (Rom 10:10). We believe that the Lord Jesus has absolved us of our sins and made us righteous through faith. Furthermore, we believe that if someone is saved once, then they are forever saved, and when the Lord returns we will be immediately raptured and will enter the kingdom of heaven. So why do you testify that we must accept God’s work of judgment in the last days before we can be saved and brought into the kingdom of heaven?
11
You say that the Lord has come to do the work of judgment and purification in the last days, but the Lord Jesus said: “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (Jhn 16:8). The Lord Jesus’ words and work have already achieved having people recriminate themselves for their sins, for righteousness, and for judgment. By confessing our sins to the Lord and repenting, we have already undergone His judgment, so what really is the difference between what you say is the work of judgment in the last days and the work of the Lord Jesus?
12
How exactly does God perform His judgment work to save and cleanse mankind in the last days?
13
We accept God’s work of the last days, but how do we experience God’s judgment and chastisement so that we can receive the truth and life, get rid of our sinful nature, and achieve salvation to enter the kingdom of heaven?
14
Many brothers and sisters who believe in the Lord still aren’t clear and they believe this: The Lord Jesus redeemed us from our sins and He already sees us as free from sin. As long as we suffer and pay a price to spread the gospel of the Lord, and we behave well and stand witness well, when the Lord comes we should be able to be raptured into the kingdom of heaven. We will follow the Lord until the end, we do not resist Him or deny His name, so why do we still need to undergo God’s work of judgment in the last days?
15
You say that if people want to be freed from sin and be cleansed, they must accept Almighty God’s work of judgment in the last days. How does God judge and cleanse people in the last days? Throughout all these years that I’ve believed in the Lord, I thought that it’d be great if there came a time when people no longer sinned. At that time, I thought, life would no longer be painful!
16
You bear witness that the Lord Jesus has returned as none other than Almighty God who has expressed the truth in doing judgment work in the last days. How could it be possible? The Lord will actually come to bring us into the kingdom of heaven, how could He leave us behind to do judgment work in the last days? I think by believing in the Lord Jesus and receiving the Holy Spirit’s work, we have already been experiencing God's judgment work. There is proof in the Lord Jesus’ word: “if I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (Jhn 16:7–8). We think that after the Lord Jesus resurrected and ascended to heaven, at Pentecost the Holy Spirit descended to work on people. That had already made people blame themselves for their sins, for righteousness and judgment. When we confess and repent before the Lord, we are actually experiencing the judgment of the Lord. the work of the Lord Jesus was redemption work, after the Lord Jesus ascended to heaven, the work done by the Holy Spirit who descended at Pentecost should be the judgment work of God in the last days. Had it not been the judgment work, how could it be “he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment”? Besides, as believers of the Lord, we are often touched, reprimanded and disciplined by the Holy Spirit. So, in front of the Lord, we are always crying and repenting to the Lord. The many good behaviors engendered are how we have been transformed by our faith in the Lord. Is it not the result of experiencing God's judgment? The judgment work of Almighty God in the last days that you talk about, how does it differ from the work of the Lord Jesus?
17
You have witnessed the Lord Jesus has returned to express the truth and do judgment work in the last days. Why didn't I see it? I just believe that the Lord will return on the clouds; I just believe that when the Lord returns, all those who believe in Him will be instantly changed and be lifted in the air to meet with the Lord. Just as Paul said, “For our conversation is in heaven; from where also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like to his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things to himself” (Phl 3:20–21). And you say the Lord's return is to become flesh, appear as the Son of man and express the truth to do judgment work in the last days. I think it's impossible! Since God is omnipotent, a single word of God created the heavens and earth and all things, and let the dead rise again. God can turn us into holiness with one word. Why does God have to become flesh to express the truth to do the work of judging and cleansing man?
18
You bear witness that Almighty God expresses the truth and is doing His work of judgment of the last days, but I believe that our belief in the Lord Jesus and acceptance of the work of the Holy Spirit means that we have already undergone God’s work of judgment. Here are the words of the Lord Jesus as proof: “For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (Jhn 16:7–8). We believe that, although the Lord Jesus did the work of redemption, on the day of Pentecost after He rose to heaven, the Holy Spirit descended and worked in men: “… reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.” That should be God’s work of judgment in the last days, so what I’d like to seek is, what exactly are the differences between the work of judgment in the last days done by Almighty God and the work of the Lord Jesus?
19
How does Almighty God do His work of judgment in the last days? How does He express His words to judge, cleanse and perfect man? This is the truth that we desperately need to know now. If we realize Almighty God’s work, then we can really hear God’s voice and be raised up before God’s throne. Please tell us in more detail!
20
Our sins were forgiven after believing in the Lord, but why do we still often sin? How can we finally escape the bondage of sin?
21
Upon the cross, the Lord Jesus said, “It is finished” (Jhn 19:30), thus proving that God’s work of saving mankind was fully accomplished. Since we believe in the Lord Jesus, our sins have already been forgiven, and we are justified by our faith. When the Lord comes, we shall be raised directly into the heavenly kingdom. Why must God still express the truth and perform the work of judging and purifying man?
22
When the Lord Jesus was nailed to the cross, He bore and forgave our sins. Therefore, we have already been set apart as holy and are no longer sinful, and we can enter the kingdom of heaven without needing to accept God’s work of judgment and purification in the last days. Are we right to believe this?
23
Salvation Can Only Come Through Belief in Almighty God
24
The Lord Jesus was crucified as a sin offering to redeem mankind. We have accepted the Lord, and obtained salvation through His grace. Why do we still have to accept Almighty God’s work of judgment and purification in the last days?
25
Many brothers and sisters all think that our belief in the Lord Jesus means our sins have already been forgiven, and that we’ve enjoyed so much of the Lord’s grace and all experienced the Lord’s compassion and mercy. The Lord Jesus already does not see us as sinners, so we should be able to be brought directly into the kingdom of heaven. Then why did the Lord not bring us into the kingdom of heaven when He came, but still has to perform His work of judgment in the last days? Is God’s judgment of the last days to cleanse and save mankind or to condemn and destroy? Many people are unable to see through this. Please fellowship about this to us more specifically.
26
We believe that the Great White Throne Judgment refers to a great table set out by God in heaven, with each person kneeling on the ground to confess the sins they committed throughout their lives, after which God determines whether they enter the kingdom of heaven or descend to hell. You, meanwhile, testify that God has come to earth in the flesh and that He is expressing the truth and performing the work of judgment of the last days. Why does this differ from our own understanding? Just what is God’s judgment of the last days all about?
27
We believe that the Great White Throne Judgment prophesied in the Book of Revelation is aimed at the unbelievers who belong to the devil Satan. When the Lord comes, those who believe in Him shall be raised into heaven, following which the Lord shall rain down disasters to destroy the unbelievers. This is the Great White Throne Judgment, yet you testify that the judgment of God of the last days has already begun. So why have we not beheld God raining down disasters to destroy the unbelievers? How could this be the Great White Throne Judgment?
28
Some people say: When the Lord Jesus said on the cross, “It is finished,” did that not show that God’s salvation work was complete? So why does God need to do the work of judgment beginning with the house of God when He returns in the last days?
29
You say that if we do not accept God’s work of judgment of the last days, we shall not be cleansed, and thus will not be fit to enter the kingdom of God. We do not believe this. Although we are still capable of sin and are bound by the flesh, it is clearly stated in the Bible that “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1Co 15:52). We believe that God is almighty: A single utterance from God created the heavens and earth and all things, and a single utterance from God can raise people from the dead. When God comes, He will be able to instantly change our form and raise us into the kingdom of heaven. We therefore do not need God to become flesh in the last days and express the truth and perform the work of judgment and purification.
30
You testify that the Lord has returned to do the work of judgment of the last days, but the Lord Jesus said, “For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” (Jhn 16:7–8). We believe that after the resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit came down to work upon man during the Pentecost, reproving man of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. So long as we confess our sins and repent to the Lord, we shall be reproached and disciplined by the Holy Spirit, and this is our judgment by the Lord. Just what is the difference between the work of judgment of the last days that you speak of, and the work of the Lord Jesus?
31
You say that God expresses the truth to judge and cleanse man in the last days. God speaks words judging mankind in both the Old and New Testaments—God’s judgment has never left man. Are you saying that these words are incapable of judging and cleansing man? What is the difference between the words of judgment expressed by God in the last days, and God’s words which judge man as recorded in the Bible?
32
You testify that God does the work of judgment during the last days in order to utterly cleanse man and save man, but I have read the words expressed by Almighty God, and some of them are quite severe—they condemn and curse man. Is this not the punishment of man? How can it be called the cleansing and salvation of man?
33
We believe that the Lord Jesus is the Savior because He forgave us our sins and redeemed us from our sins. You now testify that Almighty God is Christ of the last days, the appearance of the Savior, and that He is expressing the truth and performing the work of judgment beginning from the house of God to utterly cleanse and save man, and to free man from the dark influence of Satan. How does Almighty God utterly cleanse and save man?
34
The Israelites have believed in Jehovah for generation upon generation, and people who believe in the Lord Jesus can be found all over the world. Since Jehovah, the Lord Jesus, and Almighty God are one God, why do you say that regardless of whether people believe in Jehovah or Jesus, if they do not accept the last-days judgment work of Almighty God, they will be eliminated?
35
The Lord Jesus has promised us that, “whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” How will God accomplish what He has said?
36
Is Almighty God’s work of judgment in the last days the great white throne judgment prophesied in the Book of Revelation?
37
You say that God becomes flesh in the last days to do the work of judgment. Does this have any basis in the Bible, or fulfill any biblical prophecies? Without a biblical basis, we shouldn’t be so quick to believe it.
38
Why God still needs to do the work of judgment in the last days, though the Lord Jesus redeemed mankind
39
How a corrupt disposition can be cleansed by undergoing judgment, chastisement, trials, and refinement
40
I have believed in the Lord for many years and I am well-versed in the Bible. Every day I pray, confess to the Lord and repent. But I am still able to sin frequently, unable to escape the bondage of sin and attain purification. How does Almighty God, Christ of the last days, thoroughly cleanse and save man?
